  Math Publications

The Concept
Studies Weekly’s math magazines are filled with colorful, fun and engaging lessons, exciting and consistently progressive math concepts, and hands-on activities designed to spark your students’ imaginations. Studies Weekly K-2 math publications cover common core standards, and are based on best practices outlined by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP).

What’s Included
In a one-year subscription to any of the Studies Weekly Math publications you will receive 28 full-color magazines that will be delivered in four quarterly shipments. A poster-sized “Big” edition of every issue is included which can assist in many ways, including acting as a front-of-class display while teaching.

This website contains many additional teacher resources that correlate directly with the publications in your students’ hands. At the website, once you have found your specific math publication through searching for your state and grate level, you will find daily activities, the scope and sequence for your publication and additional supplementary material.

Subject Matter
At Studies Weekly we know your time with your students is valuable so we strive to embed the most pertinent information into our publications. Our knowledgeable and experienced teacher-authors understand the value of building upon solid ground, and that is why our publications are consistently progressive. For example, in the beginning a student will learn the basics of measuring. By the next year the student will learn both standard and non-standard units of measure as well as tools for measuring. The next year the student will learn how to measure 2-dimensional shapes as well as how to find the perimeter of a shape. This progressive learning method helps students when it comes to test time. In addition, all of the content of our publications are based on the Common Core Standards for Mathematics, as well as best practices outlined by NCTM and NAEP.
