First Grade Studies Weekly comes in 24 glossy magazines about 8.5” X 11”. The first grade magazines are shipped in four shipments, or quarters, each containing 6 weekly magazines.

This classroom curriculum magazine is based on the common learning objectives and standards for first grade social studies. It was thoroughly evaluated and state adopted in 2005 as a major first grade classroom tool by the Florida State Department of Education. It is also being used in thousands of classrooms throughout the southeastern United States.

There is a simple-to-use teacher supplement included for each weekly first grade magazine. The supplement contains guided reading strategies, discussion questions, word wall words, words to know, literature links, language arts connections, math connections, and ESE strategies. There are also graphic organizers and best practices all available in electronic format which may be downloaded for classroom use.

Page four of the magazines contain meaningful first grade assessments with games for kids. first grade students enjoy the kids games without realizing they are being assessed on the weekly first grade curriculum lesson.
