Science Studies Weekly—Discovery comes in 24 colorful newspapers. These are shipped in four shipments, or quarters, each containing 6 weekly science curriculum newspapers.

This classroom science newspaper is generally used for third grade and is based on common science standards. Follow the "state correlations" link to learn what the percentage of coverage is in your state. We will have completed state correlations for every state by September 2008. If your state correlation for this publication does not appear, check back often.

Each weekly third grade newspaper contains a standards-based science lesson; a current event article which parallels the weekly topic with current events which are scientifically related; biographical spotlights on prominent scientists both modern and historic; labs and mini-labs which contain experiments that reinforce the scientific principles taught in the lesson; articles about related technology; crossword puzzles; and much more.

An extended teacher edition is included with each subscription for ten or more copies. The teacher edition contains guided reading strategies, discussion questions, word wall words, words to know, ESE strategies, and more.
