How to Create
Customized Content

Creating an Assignment

  1. From your Studies Weekly Online account and within the desired Classroom Card,
  2. Click the Customized Content button.
  3. In the Customized Content page click the green Add button  in the upper right corner and choose Create New Customized Content.
  4. Enter a Title and Instructions.
  5. Select a Start Date and Due Date (the default due date is one week from the start date).
  6. Select a Start Time and Due Time (the default start time is 12:00 AM and the default due time is 11:59 PM).
  7. Click +Add in the bottom left corner.
  8. Select whether you want to add your own QuestionItem, choose from our Question Bank, or Add Previously Created:
  9. Once you make your selection, fill in all the fields. (You will not click Create until you have finished adding all your questions or items.)
  10. To add additional questions or items, click the +Add button then repeat step 7.
  11. Click Create to finish creating your Customized Content.

How to Create a Classroom

Create a Class

  1. Log in to your online account.
  2. In the menu bar select the Classes tab.
  3. Click on the green button to Create a Classroom
  4. In the next screen, you will fill out the details of your class, including grade, subject(s), start/end dates, and if you want Study Buddies or Explorers on for your child.
  5. Click Continue
  6. Select the publications you would like to assign to your new classroom. Some publications may be pre-selected based on the grade and subject chosen in the previous step.
  7. Click Continue
  8. Finally, fill in your students’ names. Their usernames and password will be automatically generated for their students account. You can edit those later in the People tab, if needed.
  9. Click Create Classroom

How to Manage Classroom

    • Enter student first name
    • Enter student last name
    • Enter student username
    • Enter student password
    • Password criteria:
      • A lowercase letter
      • A capital (uppercase) letter
      • A number
      • Minimum of 5 characters
    • Click Create

2. Create Multiple Students

    • To add students, type in or copy and paste each student on a new line.
    • Usernames and passwords will automatically be generated but can be changed later.

3. Add students using a classroom join code

    • Students who already have an account can login and be added to your classroom using the classroom code you provide them.
    • Join codes can be found in the classroom sub navigation bar below the classroom name.

How to Manage Publications

Manage Publications

  1. From your  Studies Weekly Online account and within the Classroom Card you want to add a publication to.
  2. Click View All Publications.
  3. Click the Add Publication Access button
  4. In the Add Publication Access pop-up window, select the publication(s) you want to add to the classroom. Teachers can search or filter by Subject and Grade to narrow down the search.
  5. Click Add
