Great news! You can throw out any supplemental materials you have because the new Texas Studies Weekly Social Studies is 100% aligned with the streamlined TEKS.
The newly updated 2022 Texas Studies Weekly is a robust, complete, and comprehensive curriculum that you can use to cover all of your K-5 social studies standards.
In the past, even though the Texas Studies Weekly Social Studies curriculum was state-adopted in 2014, some Texas educators felt it was supplemental.
But we knew we could do better for our customers!
So we partnered with Texas curriculum experts to update our K-5 Social Studies curriculum to make it fully aligned with the current streamlined TEKS. The all-Texan external review team examined all 32 units in each grade to make sure we didn’t miss a single standard.
Thanks to their help, the newly updated 2022 Texas Studies Weekly is an amazing comprehensive curriculum that needs no supplementation.
Check out this scope and sequence report, which shows how each week in Texas Studies Weekly Grade 4 meets the TEKS for that grade.
